Girlhood Athletics is dedicated to empowering girls through strength training in a supportive, judgment-free environment. Recognizing the importance of physical and mental well-being, Girlhood Athletics provides a space where girls can build strength, confidence, and resilience. The company emphasizes proper training techniques, safety, and personal growth, ensuring that each individual feels comfortable and encouraged throughout their fitness journey. With a focus on community and education, Girlhood Athletics aims to break down barriers and inspire the next generation of strong, confident girls who are equipped to embrace their full potential, both in the gym and beyond.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), approximately 85% of adolescent girls aged 11–17 years do not meet the recommended 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous physical activity daily.
Barriers to physical activity among teenage girls include a fear of judgment (68%), lack of confidence (61%), academic pressures (47%), and safety concerns (43%).(Women in Sport)

Taylor started Girlhood Athletics with the aim of inspiring the next generation of girls to fall in love with moving their bodies on a daily basis. Taylor understands the challenges that girls face to be physically active and hopes that Girlhood Athletics will allow all who join to feel like they belong to a team.
Taylor has completed both a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology from the University of the Fraser Valley. In addition to this education, Taylor has over a decade of experience coaching both circuit & strength training, as well as girls basketball and soccer. Being a high level athlete throughout her life, Taylor has developed a passion for female sports and fitness.

Outside of the gym you can find Taylor enjoying life with her husband and chasing after their busy toddler and yellow lab Daisy.
